Tea Story
A nine minute animated short film
In the City of New York, an immigrant dad from Beijing, yearns for his American born daughter Eva to value her Chinese heritage. She strives for independence and conformity with her peers. Living above his acupuncture clinic, it seems increasingly difficult each year to reach her. This is shown symbolically by this single father, trying to make Eva appreciate Chinese tea despite her reluctance. Their relationship is strained the night before her departure to a new job in San Francisco.
